East Carter Network Administrator

East Carter County R-2 is seeking applicants for the 12-month position of Network Administrator.  This position is responsible for all aspects of the district’s computer network, including software support, configuring, maintaining and proactively upgrading hardware systems as necessary to meet student and staff needs.  This position is responsible for obtaining competitive bids for equipment and services.  This position is also responsible for the application and completion of any and all grants and reports necessary to maintain the network’s compliance with state and federal guidelines for network operation, including CIPA compliance.  This position serves the needs of the entire district, works collaboratively with all district administration and reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools.

Elementary Teacher Opening

The East Carter County R-2 School District is accepting applications for a certified elementary teaching position for the 24-25 school year.  East Carter County R-2 is in Southeast Missouri with an enrollment of approximately 650 students k-12 and will be a 4-day school week beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.  The district has a very competitive salary and benefit package for all staff.  The district has a strong technology program to support teachers and students in the learning process.  Ellsinore is centrally located between Poplar Bluff and the Current River and a short drive to Wappapello and Clearwater Lakes.

High School Social Studies Teacher

The East Carter County R-2 School District is now accepting applications for a High School social studies teacher for the upcoming year. The District is located in Southeast Missouri with an enrollment of approximately 650 students K-12 and is participating in the Governor's $38,000 base initiative and has a generous health benefit plan. The district has a strong technology program to support teachers and students in the learning process. Ellsinore is located in an area with many outdoor activities close by and a four-lane drive to major cities. Various coaching opportunities may also be available.

R-2 School District is accepting applications for substitute teachers and substitute para-professionals.  Subs are needed throughout the district in many different job types and age groups.  The current full-day pay rate is $100.  Successful candidates must complete a job application, have completed 60 or more college hours, pass a background check and possess an active substitute teaching certificate issued from DESE prior to being presented to the Board of Education.
